Custom Loxone-style icons for Node-RED subflows and nodes.

Overview

This package provides a collection of SVG icons designed for Loxone-style home automation blocks in Node-RED. The icons are automatically available to all nodes and subflows after installation.

Installation

Via Node-RED Palette Manager (Recommended)

1. Open Node-RED editor
2. Click Menu (☰) → Manage palette
3. Go to Install tab
4. Search for: node-red-loxone-icons
5. Click Install

Via npm

cd ~/.node-red
npm install node-red-loxone-icons

For Home Assistant Node-RED add-on:

cd /config
npm install node-red-loxone-icons

Restart Node-RED after installation.

Available Icons

Usage

In Subflow JSON

When creating or editing a subflow, use the icon path format:

Icon Format

• Format: SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)
• Optimized for Node-RED's icon system
• Consistent sizing and styling

Troubleshooting

Icons not appearing after installation

1. Restart Node-RED - Icons are loaded during startup
2. Clear browser cache - Press Ctrl+Shift+R (or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)
3. Delete old subflow - Remove old version from palette before importing new one
4. Check package installation:

   npm list node-red-loxone-icons
   

Wrong icon path

Make sure to use the full path including package name:

• ✅ Correct: node-red-loxone-icons/mixer.svg
• ❌ Wrong: mixer.svg
• ❌ Wrong: icons/mixer.svg

Icon Guidelines:

• SVG format only
• Keep file size under 5KB
• Use simple, clear designs
