Installation

To install Trotec nodes in Node-RED, always use the Palette Manager:

  1. Open Node-RED.
  2. Click the menu button (top right) and select Manage palette.
  3. Search for node-red-contrib-trotec and click Install.

This is the recommended and supported way to install Trotec nodes in Node-RED.

Getting Started

  1. Ensure Node-RED is installed and running.
  2. Install this package using npm or the Palette Manager.
  3. Restart Node-RED if required.
  4. Find the "Trotec" nodes in the Node-RED editor sidebar.
  5. Configure connection to your Trotec machine:
    • Add any trotec node to your flow.
    • select add new configuration.
    • Enter the machine's connection details (IP address, credentials, etc.) in the configuration node.
    • Save and deploy your flow.

Usage

  1. Open Node-RED.
  2. Add nodes from the "Trotec" category to your flow.
  3. Configure each node according to your automation requirements.

Included example flows are available directly in Node-RED:

  • Go to the Node-RED editor.
  • Click the menu button (top right) and select Import > Examples.
  • Choose the "Trotec" examples to explore ready-made flows and usage patterns.
