Overview

node-red-contrib-sysinfo is a Node-RED custom node used to collect local system information, including operating system, CPU usage, memory usage, disk usage, and CPU temperature (if supported by the device). The collected information is sent as a JSON object via msg.payload.

Installation

1. Open the Node-RED editor.
2. Click the menu at the top right and select Manage palette.
3. Go to the Install tab.

Usage

Node Configuration

• Drag the System Info. node from the left sidebar into the workspace.
• Double-click the node to open the configuration panel.
• Sampling Interval (seconds): Set the time interval for collecting system information. Default is 5 seconds. It is recommended not to set too high a sampling rate to avoid impacting system performance.
• Collection Options: Select the types of system information to collect, including OS info, CPU info, memory info, disk info, and system load info.

Node Input

The node accepts an input message. Upon receiving an input, it will start collecting system information.

Node Output

The node outputs a JSON object containing the system information via msg.payload. The JSON format is as follows:
