Node-RED nodes to send Alive5 SMS and poll for incoming texts.
Setup
Use Node.js 18+ and Node-RED 3+. Install via Menu → Manage palette → Install → @imraghavojha/node-red-alive5, or run npm install @imraghavojha/node-red-alive5 in your Node-RED user directory. Restart Node-RED after npm installation.

Nodes
- alive5-config stores the account name and API key as a Node-RED credential.
- alive5 send sms sends
msg.payloadfrom the selected line and user to an E.164 number set in the node ormsg.to. Outputmsg.payloadis an object withmessage_idand availablemessage_status,thread_id,From,To,directionandmessage_contentfields. - alive5 sms in polls every 30 seconds by default and outputs new texts in
msg.payloadwith message, sender, business line, thread ID and UTC timestamp. The first successful poll records a silent baseline. Messages arriving with an older timestamp than one already seen are skipped; each occurrence at the newest timestamp is counted, so identical texts at the same millisecond are emitted separately without repeating them on later polls. State resets on restart or redeploy, and the recent conversation window can miss messages between polls.
